Soul Sustenance: All I Am

I recently had a chance to review All I Am, which is a Catholic devotional to help teens and tweens discover who they are. I'm not Catholic, but that didn't really matter for this devotional - although there were a few devotions here and there that emphasized things that Protestants typically don't, for the most part it is a devotional that works for any Christian teen.

It's written for those age 13 and up, but was still relevant for my 12-year-old. It explores belonging, identity, security, ability, and purpose in the context of how God meets these needs while we are growing and developing. In the end, it emphasizes that we are loved, and that's a message all teens need to hear.

Caroline Pignat is an award-winning author, poet, and high school teacher who was also a lead writer for the Growing in Faith, Growing in Christ religious education program commissioned used in Catholic schools across Canada. Caroline has written devotions, reflections, and articles for numerous publications, in addition to publishing seven highly acclaimed novels for teens. She has twice won Canada's Governor General's Award for Children's Literature, first in 2009 for her novel Greener Grass and again in 2015 for her novel The Gospel Truth.
