With Duolingo’s entry into teaching math last week, educational games are on the rise on our phones and tablets. But which games do Americans think to keep our minds sharpest, and which ones are best for kids?
This national survey on American gaming in 2022 found:
- Parents rated PBS Kids Games, Duolingo, and Brain Pop as the best for kids
- Duolingo, Wordle, and Chess are the most educational games overall
- 67% of parents let their kids play games
- 63% use Duolingo to improve language skills
- 40% say we can replace traditional learning with tech
Screentime being a concern for parents, it’s good to know there are plenty of engaging games out there to keep their kids’ minds sharp. 75% even say games like Wordle help increase vocabulary.
