An ambitious new novel that spans several decades, "The Unexpected Danny Green" tells the story of a young Black man who rises from his humble Mississippi origins to become a powerhouse force both within the boxing ring and at the movie box office. Touching on racial issues, family values, sports, Hollywood, organized crime, romance and much more, the novel was written by the Los Angeles-based veteran entertainment industry executive Paul R. Friedman, who has worked on such milestone shows as "The Grammy Awards," "Big Brother," "The Amazing Race" and "Survivor."
