The Story Pirates Podcast, winners of the 2020 and 2022 Webby and IHeart Radio Awards, will release their 2022 holiday episode on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022 featuring special guest Saturday Night Live alum Seth Meyers, host of NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers.
The Story Pirates Podcast takes stories written by kids and turns them into improv comedy and original songs. The Dec.15 episode features Meyers as “Chip McFoddlesworth,” a sports agent in the center of the earth who tries to recruit a Story PIrate for the big Dirtball Dustdown. The episode also features two new stories from kids: “The Hanukkah Ghost” by 7-year-old Raia from Illinois and “The Dragon That Just Wanted Hair” by 9-year-old Avalon from Pennsylvania. Seth Meyers is an Emmy Award-winning writer, New York Times bestselling author and host of NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”
This year, the show was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Talk Series. Meyers also received back-to-back Emmy nominations in 2021-22 for “Late Night’s” digital series, “Corrections,” for Outstanding Short Form Comedy, Drama or Variety Series.
