I recently had the chance to try out some Seniorbliss Seasonal Allergy Chews with my dog. Now, she's not a senior dog - she's an adult dog - but she does deal with seasonal allergies.
These chews were easy to give her - she loved what was in them. They were a salmon flavor, which she obviously likes. Dosing information was clear and the package was informative and understandable. They did seem to help her seasonal allergies. While they don't erase her symptoms entirely, when she takes supplements like this we can put her on a much lower dose of allergy meds, which we like - for us, non-drug solutions are preferable if possible, and something that allows for less medicine is also good.
Fortunately for us, her allergies aren't severe - she scratches and licks extra, but some allergy medication and supplements, and it keeps it to a manageable amount where she's not itching or licking constantly and wearing off her own fur. We also keep her busy during allergy season with lots of playtime, training sessions, and walks, so she's more tired and less bored - distracting her from the allergy seems to work. Careful use of baths (the right interval and a shampoo designed to ease allergy symptoms) helps too.
We don't know exactly what she's allergic to, we just know that it starts to creep up as the snow melts, and then fade in the fall. She never has allergy symptoms when there's snow on the ground. So at least for us it's a very seasonal issue!
