Music Minute - Spencer Crandall: To Be Continued

Dynamic independent Country artist Spencer Crandall continues to feed his fans new music as part of Western Reloaded, tapping rising Country artist Shaylen for a passionate duet on “To Be Continued…” out everywhere May 5. Originally released last fall on his 20-track mega album Western, the reimagined track invites fans into an on-again, off-again relationship capturing the bittersweet feelings of a love that just won't die. Continuing to breathe new life into fan-favorite hits, the new single announcement comes just weeks after releasing “Girls Like You (Stripped)” and “Made (Wedding Version).”

“When I first heard Shaylen's voice I was blown away by her emotional delivery and tone,” shares Crandall. “In a city with a million voices, hers immediately stood out to me and I knew she'd be the perfect fit for this song. She shares the same love for her fans as I do for mine and I always want to work with like-minded individuals. It felt like a no-brainer and I can't wait for y'all to hear this one!”

Crandall's carefully-crafted Western album was released in October 2022 and has garnered over 60M+ streams with fan-favorites like “Made,” “Didn't Do” and standout track “Girls Like You.” Following the hero's journey towards a life well lived, MusicRow notes he's “unafraid to pull from his own experiences” and Forbes claims it “leaves a mark on the listener.”

Crandall, known for his “contagious energy and charming appeal” (CMT), continues to share his six chapter collection Western to fans in cities nationwide. His headlining 36-stop Western Tour has sold out major markets such as Los Angeles, NYC, Dallas, and Nashville and will wrap on May 20 in Louisville, Ky.

The genre-defying talent “on the cusp of Country stardom” (People) made his Grand Ole Opry debut last fall and will step back into the coveted circle this Friday, April 28 before performing at CMA Fest on June 11. With a rapidly growing fan base over 3M strong and 300M streams under his belt, Crandall continues to prove his staying power.

ABOUT SPENCER CRANDALL:
Unfiltered. Unconventional. And above all, unapologetic. Those are the defining traits of a whole new generation of Country star – and Spencer Crandall is one of them. As one of Country's most progressive new talents, self-made and as dynamic as they come, Crandall has no time to say “sorry” for his raw, soul-baring stories. Driven toward greatness, he's got no remorse for his big dreams, and pulls no punches with his ever-evolving sound. The Nashville based artist has spent years combining pop's untamed energy with the confessional lyricism of Country, opening up territory no one before him even knew existed – and with his ambitious new 20-track album, Western, the frontier expands again. Growing up in Denver with a tight knit family, the creative powerhouse was taught hard work and dedication, and learned his lessons well – even playing football in college. But when injuries ended his career, the standout athlete was officially out of his comfort zone. Fully embracing his natural, genre-defying instincts, with ultra-smooth vocals, deeply-personal themes and hot-blooded performances, Crandall now counts 1.2M monthly Spotify listeners, 300M total career streams, more than 2.7M followers on TikTok, and fan engagement so off the charts it drives sold-out shows around the nation. He released three albums before Western, made his Grand Ole Opry debut in 2022, and continues pushing toward the ultimate goal of a sold-out stadium performance – Western is just the next step.

ABOUT SHAYLEN:
Nashville-based country artist Shaylen is no stranger to the world of country music; Her roots in the south are where her country and gospel influences came from and are the core of who she is as an artist. A powerhouse vocalist at a young age, Shaylen has always had music in her soul. After 10 years in Los Angeles, CA as a pop artist with Republic Records, Shaylen found it was her time to come home. Her inaugural country single, “What If I Don't” (July 2022), gained instant attention in the country music scene, reaching over 2.2 million streams across DSPs within the first month of its release, laying the groundwork for what's to come. Her second single, “Roots” (October 2022), one of her most personally fulfilling tracks, was exclusively unveiled by PEOPLE Magazine who praised, “Her new single 'Roots' is so very her… making it even more special is the fact that the song's nostalgic music video features a series of touching snapshots of her life thus far.” Although she's made the jump from pop music to country, Shaylen has always used her music as an avenue for working through emotions and experiences in life, while staying true to herself.
