Girls of Nashville is back with its esteemed seasonal writers round at City Winery Nashville on June 20, joined by singer/songwriter Shelly Colvin as their guest host. The evening will include an incredible closing round featuring a trio of trailblazing women – Gretchen Peters, Matraca Berg and Suzy Bogguss. The full lineup includes Colvin, Morgan, Duval, Peters, Berg, Bogguss, Joybeth Taylor, Leah Marie Mason and Emmi Elliott for a night of unforgettable performances, accompanied by an all female house band.
Founded in 2014, Girls of Nashville strives to share the female voices of Nashville ever since co-founders Heather Morgan, Mags Duval and Caitlyn Smith realized there wasn't an event that specifically highlighted the perspective and talent of female songwriters. Nine years later, this tradition stands strong, led by Duval and Morgan.
The consistently sold-out show always focuses on giving back to the community. This event will be dedicated to Monroe Carrell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, a cause hand picked by Colvin that is close to her heart. Girls of Nashville shows carry an uplifting spirit and a strong sense of sisterhood that lead to unplanned, special moments in the intimate listening room style setting. Past performers at Girls of Nashville events include: Kacey Musgraves, Hillary Lindsey, Liz Rose, Maren Morris, Lainey Wilson, Danielle Bradbery and many more.
