Soul Sustenance - New Books from Zonderkidz Publishing for Summer 2023

I recently  had the chance to review two new books from Zondervan Publishing

by Michelle Nietert, LPC-S and Lynn Cowell
God calls us to live lives of joy, but sometimes we feel mad, sad, or scared. Managing Your Emojis, a 100-day devotional, teaches kids that God loves them no matter what they’re feeling, and Scripture can empower them to manage their emotions.
This book is a good book for tweens. It's a little young for my kids (currently 14 and 16) but would have been perfect for them at any point from about 8 to 12. It could even work for younger kids, and really helps look at a lot of emotions that kids might not know how to deal with, and explores them through a Biblical lens.

Inspired by Psalm 92, Happy’s lyrical text celebrates all that God gives his children and the joy found in giving him gratitude. From the author of the bestselling The Jesus Storybook Bible, Sally Lloyd-Jones, and the award-winning illustrator Jago, comes an uplifting board book that encourages even the smallest believer to share in God’s great love for them.
This was a really cute book. It's a short book that has a lot of fun scenes of joy, exploring many often overlooked blessings we experience.
