It's an interesting lesson about working for money and why an unlimited amount of cash for everybody isn't a good idea - because then resources will get snapped up too quickly, if no one has to work for the money. Obviously with any financial book there will be some nuances (for example, while I believe in the value of working for what I need, I also think that some people are in a position where they do need extra assistance, and we still have issues with resource allocation/hoarding in our society), but it is a way to explain to kids why people need to work.
