My older daughter loves animals, so it was fun to be able to review the book Superpowered Animals, which highlighted the amazing traits of 22 different animals. Even though she's a teen and knows a lot about animals, she still learned a lot from this book - and although the book didn't feel like a little kids' book either (although it's best suited for older elementary/middle school students).
The book includes a variety of species - commonly known animals like the cheetah (one of her favorites), slightly more unusual animals like the narwhal, and animals I had never heard of like the superb lyrebird. The amazing facts about animals really highlight the beautiful diversity in the natural world too, including defense mechanisms, amazing senses, typical diets, and other cool bits of knowledge.
