Those who want to help change lives by being the miracle for families in need can attend the 2023 Night of Miracles Gala, the nonprofit's 19th annual Gala. The ‘Marvelous Miracles’ evening will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, California. The mission is to raise vital money that is used to help provide support for struggling families with children who have life-threatening illnesses and conditions.
"Our annual Gala is a very important night for the organization, bringing together valued supporters who invest in our mission and ability to affect change for families in crisis," explains Autumn Strier, co-founder and CEO of Miracles for Kids. "We are honored to have the continued support of our Presenting Sponsor Xponential Fitness, who stands beside us as we work to raise funds for families in desperate need of support."
The gala will feature live entertainment, a sit-down dinner, an exciting live and silent auction with over 200 items for which people can bid. The night will raise money for the cause, with proceeds going to programs that support children with life-threatening illnesses or conditions and their families. Entertainment for the evening will feature an opening number by British singer/songwriter Alice Chater, and an acoustic set by Andrew McMahon, former frontman for Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin. McMahon, a cancer survivor himself with a charity that benefits those with leukemia, is a Dana Point native and active musician still on tour.
Tickets, tables and sponsorship packages are available, along with underwriting opportunities, and more. Live auction items include a 5-night stay for up to 14 at a beachfront luxury villa in Punta Mita, Mexico, a VIP red carpet experience for 2 at Marvel Hollywood 2024 premieres, a 4-day luxury golf and spa getaway to Kiawah Island for 8, an adorable french bulldog puppy, and much more.
"This event is only possible thanks to the incredible support of our dedicated community of donors and volunteers," added Strier. "We welcome everyone to get involved one way or another, by attending or volunteering. It takes all of us working together to make miracles.”
This year's generous lead sponsors include Presenting Sponsor Xponential Fitness, Exclusive Wine Sponsor As One Cru, Featured Jewelry Sponsor and Opportunity Item Donor Happy Jewelers, along with over 30 corporate sponsors, such as Citizens Business Bank, The Leeson Group, Northern Trust, OC Breakers, and numerous others. The organization, co-founded by Strier, is based in Orange County, California but supports families throughout the West Coast and beyond, helping to relieve the financial burden that families with critically-ill children experience by providing financial support, shelter, counseling, and necessities. They have helped provide long-term stability for over 2,000 families.
