While America’s big cities are a focus for many, there’s something special about small town charm. By analyzing dozens of small cities and towns across the country, a new report found the best small towns to live in across the U.S.
The towns were ranked based on several factors including safety, affordable living, and education.
Coming in at #1 for the Best Hometown to live in is Elmira, NY. Other top small towns include Utica, NY; Hattiesburg, MS; Bowling Green, KY; Hannibal, MO; Charlottesville,VA; and Quincy, IL.
- Best Education: Binghamton, NY; Corning, NY; and Hattiesburg, MS
- Safest Hometowns: Marquette, MI; Weston, WV; and Montrose, CO
- Most Affordable: Greenville, MS; Keokuk, IA; and Greenwood, MS
