It’s either you or your neighbors, someone is likely getting a delivery each day around you and we see viral stories about crazy things happening to delivery people all the time.
Here is some positive news though. As millions of packages will be sent after October's Prime Days, new study looked into where Americans are nicest to delivery people and where they tip the most.
Key findings:
- Colorado (57%), Wisconsin (56%), and Virginia (51%) residents rank the highest for always tipping food delivery people 20%. Washington state ranked the worst.
- Virginia (63%), Mississippi (60%), and New Jersey (60%) residents rank the highest for being more generous tipping during the holiday season. New Mexico ranked the worst.
- New Jersey (38%), New York (22%), and Connecticut (22%) residents rank the highest for tipping their mail person at the end of the year. Arkansas ranked the worst.
When it comes to tipping, 75% of all American respondents tend to leave a 20% tip for food delivery people.
