I was excited at the chance to review Stormbrigner: The Predator's Stone. It had elements both of my girls really enjoy in stories. One of my girls loves magic, strong female characters, fantasy, amazing new worlds, and magical creatures. The other girl is definitely spunky, intelligence that isn't reflected in her grades, and impulsive. This heroine resonated with both of them.
Cinder gets involved in yet another fight, and prepares to be kicked out - again. But she isn't quite expecting to be brought to the Proving Grounds. And she's not going to let herself be pushed around by any of the gods, even if Ragnarok is at stake.
Mixing established myths, realism, and fantasy, it's a fun book to read. My older daughter loved it, and my younger daughter, who doesn't always enjoy fantasy books, liked it as well.
