Music Minute - Greg Pratt: Clean Getaway

Greg Pratt, rising PGMG Country Artist/Songwriter, releases his single "Clean Getaway" today. "Clean Getaway" is Greg Pratt's sixth and final single release of 2023. Pratt just returned home to Nashville after his final travel show of the year at the Tropicana in Atlantic City and is settling in at home for the holiday season.

Greg will be performing the next few months in Nashville, while hitting the songwriting room and studio for more fresh music in 2024.

"Backwoods Therapy" is Greg's breakout single of the year with over 250,000 cross platform streams and downloads. "Backwoods Therapy" was followed by "Ole Boys & Bottles" and his only ballad of the year, "Just The Way She Goes."

"Clean Getaway" is the fourth 2023 single in a row written by Pratt. This song is written by Greg Pratt, Jase Williams, and Adam Williams of ProGo Music Group Nashville. Again, Pratt used his LIVE players on the record, produced by Jase Williams.

"Backwoods Therapy" is playing on country radio stations across the USA and Pratt plans to send "Clean Getaway" out to country radio in late January 2024. Pratt also released a CLUB MIX version of "Backwoods Therapy" spreading across the country dance club market to go along with a new country line dance created by famed choreographers Donald Spellman and Emily Ferrese

Greg Pratt states "We sat down and started reminiscing about simpler times. One thing we had in common was our tendency as kids to get in some trouble just having a little harmless fun, being knuckleheads growing up. Three different generations in the room, and we kinda laughed our way through the whole write. The song’s just about drivin’ fast, takin’ chances, and havin’ fun doin it- back when things weren’t so complicated- back before people got arrested for having a little fun."

"Clean Getaway" is the final release of 4 songs drawing from Greg Pratt’s southern roots, driving Country and Southern Rock riffs through his unique, rugged lyricism. Inviting the audience to party their problems away, the song exemplifies his live performance grit and was recorded alongside his live band.

Producer and co-writer Jase Williams dedicates this song to old friend Charles "CC Biggs" Crawford, who he grew up with running the countryside just like in the song. Charles later became Chief of Police in the small town they grew up in and is battling cancer now. "Charles is a great example of how even knuckleheads can grow up to do great things."

Leaving college to become a singer/songwriter in a family of doctors was tough for Greg Pratt. Hitting Music City with $3 in his pocket was even harder. Working from the back kitchen of a Nashville restaurant to busking on Broadway to the top LIVE performer on the strip today demonstrates his talent and determination.

About Greg Pratt
Born and raised in the home of the blues, Memphis Tennessee, the son of a family of doctors, Greg was grooming to become another doctor in a proud family tradition. But with only one credit left to graduate college, Greg left school, packed his car with a few personal belongings, and with only about $3 in his pocket, set out to make his mark as a Country Music Entertainer in Nashville.  Needless to say, it was a great shock, and maybe even a momentary disappointment for those who had other dreams for Greg. But Greg had dreams of his own and he was determined to carve his own path in life. Nashville was the place to do it!

Over the next five years, Greg taught himself the guitar, how to write a song, and developed a powerful baritone voice that reverberates all the way to the listener's soul. He worked his way from the back kitchen of a Nashville restaurant to the top of Broadway stages, as one of the most sought-after live performers in twang town, with visiting fans spanning the globe.
