Sultry singer-songwriter Re Mattei announces the release of her exciting new album, Believin’ is Seein’.
There came a time in Re Mattei’s life when she needed to take a blind leap of faith and follow her passion for music. This reminds her of the Robert Frost poem, The Road Not Taken, where one can look down a particular life path and have fear and anxiety due to all the uncertainty. The choice to not take that path and play it safe is always there, or the option to go down that road of uncertainty, believing God will lead you exactly where you’re supposed to be. Mattei has chosen that uncertain road, believing that anything is possible, even if she can’t see what God has in store for her. Believin’ is Seein’! “I came up with the idea one morning before a co-write,” shared Re Mattei.”I love Christmas and own almost every Christmas movie. I watched The Santa Clause, where there is a scene in which Tim Allen becomes Santa, and he is at the North Pole for the first time. In the movie, he says it is hard to believe what he is seeing: the elves, polar bears, etc. The elf says to Santa that it is not surprising. As we grow up and become adults, we forget how to dream. Santa says, ‘I see it, but I don’t believe it.’ Then the elf says seeing isn’t believing… believing is seeing! I immediately wrote the chorus and took it to my co-writer. As the chorus says, I believe when we close our eyes, we can dream and make it come to life if we open up our hearts and believe it. I believe in fairy tale romance. I believe we all have a second chance. I believe seein’ is not believin’... Believin’ is Seein’. I end my show with this song because if there is one thing I want people to remember it is this… never give up… just believe!!!”

About Re Mattei:
Re Mattei has a sultry, soulful voice that brings stories to life to satisfy music enthusiasts with a taste for contemporary country steeped in tradition. She is a Berklee College of Music graduate, originally from Trenton, NJ, who earned her bachelor’s degree in guitar performance. While living in Boston she joined the all-female, Top 40, seven-piece band, The Uptown Girls. This opportunity enabled Mattei to become a global performer at nightclubs and military bases in Japan, the Philippines, Singapore and Hawaii. Mattei moved to Music City to focus on her songwriting and solo career. She has performed at the Bluebird Café, Opryland Hotel and the Tennessee State Fair (WSM-AM stage) to name a few. Teaming with producer Bart Pursley, she recorded and released her debut single, “Country Love,” in 2014. Mattei recently just finished recording in the studio with producer Bartley Pursley putting the finishing touches on her upcoming album Believin’ Is Seein’. So how would Re describe her musical style? “You take a real smooth Pinot Noir, mix it with little dirt, add an ice cube, and stir it up real hard,” she says with a wicked smile.
