TV Time - Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood

 In the newest season of the beloved Emmy-winning series, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, which premiering now on PBS KIDS, young fans will get a window into the perspectives of not just Daniel Tiger, but other familiar characters originated by kids’ TV pioneer Fred Rogers too! For the first time since the hit show premiered over ten years ago, this exciting new focus on some of preschoolers' favorite on-screen friends – like Katerina Kittycat, Miss Elaina, O the Owl, and Prince Wednesday along with Jodi Platypus, Chrissie, and Max – will give kids even more opportunities to see themselves represented on screen, as they learn about different personalities and ways to express themselves. Each half-hour episode will include one story from Daniel’s own perspective and one from the point-of-view of a different friend from the Neighborhood. All episodes stream free on PBS KIDS!

701: Something New About Trolley - August 12

 There’s something new about Trolley, and Daniel is so excited to find out what it is! As he waits, he learns new things about his friends. In the end, Daniel discovers that Trolley can turn into a boat. Daniel and his friends enjoy a ride!

704: Daniel Asks What Friends Like/ Miss Elaina's Space Restaurant - August 13

Teacher Harriet helps Daniel make a chart to ask his friends how they like to say hello. When Miss Elaina and Katerina play together, they ask each other how they like to play. Sometimes they like different things! 

 

Strategy: Sometimes we like different things. It helps to ask, 'What do you like?' 

 

707: Daniel Doesn't Want to Miss Out/Cousins at the Castle  - August 14

Daniel has to go potty, but is worried there won’t be space for his sea turtle on the class mural when he’s done in the bathroom. Prince Wednesday needs to get dressed before he can go outside to see the butterflies and play with Chrissie. 

 

Strategy: I can still have fun when I’m done. 

 

708: Daniel and O Make Deliveries/Jodi Makes a Boat with Max - August 15 

When Daniel and O are playing post office, their wagon breaks. They look around and find something else to use. Jodi and Nana see Teacher Harriet and Max playing with a homemade boat. Jodi uses things she finds in nature to make one, too.
