A messenger bird reveals that the children may again be in jeopardy as one Gribblesik has survived and after centuries of sleep, is about to wake in its underground lair. Driven by curiosity Tom ventures into forbidden caves where it stirs. If it escapes, the sanctuary and the children are doomed. With the fate of the sanctuary hanging by a thread Tom must face his fears and find courage to join the fight against the creature. He is determined to confront it, but what can he do? The clock is ticking, and 800 years have passed since anyone of Tom’s age has faced such danger. It is his bravery which will determine the fate of the children and the sanctuary itself. Will he help defeat the lurking evil, or fall victim to it?

David Geey studied drama with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art before qualifying as a barrister. His legal career has helped shape some of the characters in The Two Worlds of Tom Tinderlee which is David’s first novel, published by Troubador Publishing. He is based in London.
