Enriching Education - Getty Center Third Annual Celebrating Indigenous Peoples' Day

On Saturday, October 12, 2024, the Getty Center will host its third annual family festival event, Celebrating Indigenous Peoples’ Day, to celebrate Southern California's vibrant Native American cultures and enjoy food, live music, dancing, garden tours, and more!

In honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Getty hosts its third annual family event to learn about Southern California's vibrant Native American cultures. The theme this year celebrates flora, with activities sharing traditional and contemporary Indigenous perspectives and narratives.

11 a.m.                        Creative making stations available for drop-in participation

11–11:20 a.m.            Performance by Wild Horse Native American Society

11:30 a.m.                  Films begin in Museum Lecture Hall

12–12:45 p.m.            Poetry readings

1–1:20 p.m.                Garden Tour

1–1:20 p.m.                Performance by Flower Songs

1:30–2:15 p.m.           Poetry readings

2–2:20 p.m.                Performance Wild Horse Native American Society

3–3:20 p.m.                Performance by Flower Songs

3–3:30 p.m.                Garden Tour
