Book Nook - Too Much Glue (SAG-AFTRA Storyline Online with Nicole Byer)

 The SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s award-winning children’s literacy program, Storyline Online®, is thrilled to share its latest release, Too Much Glue read by actor and comedian Nicole Byer, is a sticky hit with kids and the views are spreading fast with over 157,000 views in one week. Known as the Emmy-nominated television host of Nailed It!, for her role on the fan-favorite sitcom Grand Crew, for her voice work in Transformers: EarthSpark, and as a podcaster with two popular shows, Byer brings her signature humor and energy to this amusing children’s story.

“I’ve always loved making kids laugh, and Too Much Glue is such a fun and engaging story,” said Nicole Byer. “I’m honored to bring Matty’s messy adventure to life and to be part of a program that makes reading so accessible and enjoyable for children all over the world.”

Written by Jason Lefebvre, illustrated by Zac Retz, and published by Flashlight Press, the award-winning Too Much Glue tells the whimsical story of Matty, a boy who discovers the sticky joys of glue while learning important lessons about creativity and resourcefulness.

Too Much Glue is the second Storyline Online read-aloud sponsored by Elmer’s, following the record-breaking success of its companion book So Much Slime, read by Academy Award-nominated actor June Squibb. Released in December 2024, So Much Slime has become the most viewed new release in Storyline Online history, surpassing 607,000 views in just 47 days.

Too Much Glue includes a supplementary teacher’s guide that aligns with Common Core Standards. With over 900 million views, Storyline Online is an essential literacy resource for parents, teachers, and children worldwide, offering beloved stories read by the world’s best storytellers.
