Rising country artist and Georgia native
Scoot Teasley combines his signature warm, soulful vocals with authentic country storytelling in his brand new track
“Gone to Dust,” out now. Written by Teasley, Nicholas Sainato and John Townsend, the heartfelt tune shines with themes of love, loss and resilience.
“It's been almost a year since I've put out new music,” said Teasley. “I've spent that time writing some of my favorite songs yet. 'Gone to Dust' is just the beginning of what's coming, and I can't wait for y'all to hear what I've been working on.”
Teasley's previous single “This Truck Still Misses You” drew in a lot of buzz, landing on Billboard's 8 Must Hear Country Songs list, who stated he “possesses a distinct, warm vocal quality, with a power particularly potent in his upper register.” The track is featured on his debut EP Country Back released last February, a four-song collection that further highlights his blend of classic country roots with modern hip-hop and R&B influences. His unique mix has landed him on Nashville Briefing's 2024 Artists to Watch list as well as being named a Tidal Rising Artist.
The singer-songwriter took to Nashville stages this week to celebrate the song release, first performing at The Basement on 1/22 before playing Whiskey Jam on 1/23 at Whiskey Row. Continuing his tour around town, he will join the Raised Rowdy showcase at Duck Blind next Wednesday (1/29). Teasley made his CMA Fest debut last June, performing at Spotify House's Fresh Finds Rooftop, further solidifying his presence in the music scene. Fans can expect more new music and touring throughout the year.
