Country girl group
Just Jayne just released their debut song,
“This Morning,” available everywhere now. Comprised of singer-songwriters Taylor Edwards, Rachel Wiggins and Jillian Steele, the trio steps into the spotlight with their official introduction to the country music landscape. Written by Edwards, Wiggins, Steele and James Shelley, “This Morning” serves as a response to Morgan Wallen's smash hit “Last Night,” flipping the script to voice the female perspective of the morning after a drunken night in love. “'This Morning' was the second song we ever wrote together, and the session just felt like three best friends venting about old toxic relationships,” Just Jayne shared. “It tells the story of that person you keep going back to over and over again and finally waking up one day and realizing you deserve better — taking the driver's seat and saying IT'S OVER!!!!! Everyone has that one person they think of when they hear this song, and whether you've been there and are out of it, or you're singing it to convince yourself to put that toxic cycle to an end, we hope you scream this song at the top of your lungs with your best friends and it heals you a little, like it did for us.”
The creation of Just Jayne was sparked from the solo careers of Edwards, Wiggins and Steele. Their chemistry together was undeniable, bringing the girls to combine their dynamic talents and experience to form the girl group. Despite hailing from all corners of the U.S., the trio has proven through their lyrics and personalities they are as strong as ever as one.
Fans have been listening to glimpses of their music over the past year after the trio turned heads with their behind-the-scenes “Worktapes”
on
YouTube and Soundcloud, giving an exclusive inside look on how their songs came to fruition. Now with a growing fan base, they celebrate their debut, more new music on the way and shows this year.
Just Jayne made their mark in Music City after making their CMA Fest debut last year and performing at various showcases including Whiskey Jam, Nashville Briefing's Artists to Watch showcase, Hoofbeat Festival and on the road with Maddie & Tae. This spring, they look forward to joining Maddie & Tae again on their Love & Light Tour in major cities including New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
