MARY CULLETON DUNN was born and raised in Ireland, the oldest girl in a family of thirteen. Her parents imbued them all with a love of prose and poetry. Caring for her siblings, and later for her own children, she has always enjoyed sharing stories, poems, and rhyming games. With children grown and gone, and after a few years in the corporate world and as a teaching assistant, she became a nanny or caretaker for countless families over the next twenty years. Along her life’s journey through different countries, cities, and towns, Mary found that young learners always had a common denominator: an engaged and positive response to poetry. Now, after years of sharing the works of others, Mary is hoping this collection, Magical Moments, will entertain, comfort, and inspire children wherever they may be.
