Area Attractions - Spring Into Transformative Learning Experiences at WonderWorks Destiny This April and May

While they are already known for providing year-round educational fun, WonderWorks Destiny is excited to expand their focus on learning this spring. They are gearing up for a range of special events, ticket giveaways, and group offerings, with something exciting for everyone. When parents, teachers and caregivers are looking for educational fun this spring, the first place that should come to mind is WonderWorks Destiny and the wide array of exciting hands-on activities that will inspire all ages.

“Educational fun is our specialty here at WonderWorks. We’re very excited to host tons of local students and their teachers in the coming months and spark a love of learning in all of them!” said Jon Cascella, general manager at WonderWorks Destiny.

WonderWorks loves educators and educators love them. Teachers who plan their field trips to the upside-down laboratory love that the activities and events inside are STEAM-themed (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics). This helps enhance the learning students get in the classroom and helps them learn great skills that will help them throughout life, including problem solving, critical thinking, and communication, and will help them become more successful with real-world applications. Kids love to visit and explore all WonderWorks has to offer, because they have fun and make memories while they are learning.

There are numerous exciting activities and events taking place throughout spring 2025 at WonderWorks Destiny, including:

  • Field Trips – Spring is considered field trip season at WonderWorks, as it is a time when school groups are welcomed to enjoy all that the upside-down lab has to offer. WonderWorks provides lots of hands-on experiences in topics that students are learning about in the classroom. This gives teachers a chance to enhance their students’ learning and amplify their curriculum. It’s not too late to plan a field trip for this school year, which can be done online.
  • Library Partnership – To celebrate National Library Week, World Book Day, and spring break all in one, WonderWorks Destiny has partnered with the Onondaga County Public Libraries (OCPL). From April 14-18, 2025, young readers can stop by the OCPL table at several local spring break events and claim a free admission ticket to WonderWorks when they sign up for a library card. The ticket will be provided at the event and will need to be presented along with the library card when being redeemed at WonderWorks. Spring is a great time to support local libraries and dive into the wonders of reading!
  • Teacher Appreciation – WonderWorks is excited to bring back their annual Teacher Appreciation Days in May 2025. This will provide all teachers and education support staff the ability to visit WonderWorks for free throughout the month, and bring up to four guests for a discounted rate. This great deal is their way of saying “thank you” for all that educators do to keep the next generation inspired to become creatives, scientists, and leaders. Watch for registration details to be announced soon.

Between these exciting offerings and the usual fun that can be found in the upside-down laboratory, WonderWorks is the perfect stop for Central New York families during the kids’ upcoming spring break. Whether you want to face your fears on the tallest ropes course in the U.S., hop into a virtual roller coaster, or create giant bubbles the size of basketballs, there’s something exciting for everyone. WonderWorks is conveniently located on the third floor of Destiny USA, New York’s largest shopping mall.

“If your family is feeling the spring fever and itching to get out of the house, come visit us at WonderWorks!” said Cascella. “We’ve got everything you need for a full day of fun.”

WonderWorks Destiny offers a variety of educational programs and promotions throughout the year for local students and families to enjoy. It also offers group rates, birthday parties, scouting programs, homeschool days, and corporate event packages. They have over 100 interactive exhibits, including those about extreme weather, space discovery, light and sound, and more.
