It began in 2012 with fundraising efforts for Prague & Bratislava Prides; and has since blossomed into a multi-pronged charitable undertaking, offering financial support – and personal involvement – with many different charitable and arts organizations. Brand g’s commitment has included company donations and onboard fundraising with guests, as well as direct, active involvement, including the planning and construction of a school in India and doing many rides and walks for U.S. LGBT charities.
To date, Brand g has personally donated - exclusive of the donations of its guests - more than $900,000.
“Pride isn’t a month,” says Brand g general manager Mike Mumford. “Particularly in the world we’re living in now, Pride has to be something celebrated and supported year-round. Federal funding is being pulled for many LGBT+ organizations. Acceptance and tolerance are being challenged. We as an LGBT+ company have to step up and help to fill that void in any way we can.”
Brand g has a long history with U.S. non-profits, celebrating Pride through its involvement with LGBT Centers and health organizations in Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Minneapolis, Rehoboth Beach, Palm Springs and many more, as well as Gay Men’s Choruses and other LGBT+ arts organizations in New York, San Francisco, South Florida, Palm Springs, Austin and more.
They have also partnered with national organizations like the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Internationally, Brand g has supported the Terrence Higgins Trust in Scotland, schools in Peru, Myanmar, Angkor Ban, Cambodia and Barangar, India (where Brand g rebuilt the school), the H2O for Life campaign in Uganda, and ORAM, the Organization for Refugee Asylum and Migration, which assists LGBT+ refugees around the world in resettling to safer zones and creating new lives.
For 2025 and 2026, Brand g has partnered with SAGE, the national organization for LGBT+ elders, offering social, housing, health and advocacy services to the elder population, who are twice as likely to be single and live alone, and four times as likely not to have children to help them as they age.
“We feel that SAGE aligns beautifully with the interests of our guests, and that we can be a real advocate for this vital organization,” Mumford states. “As we LGBT+ folk age, we have to take care of one another. And that’s where SAGE comes in. Their rallying cry is ‘We reuse to be invisible’, and now, more than ever, we all have to live that. So for Brand g, Pride isn’t a month, it’s a state of mind, and one that we try to embody every day of the year.”
For those who may wish to join in supporting SAGE, Brand g has a special donation page which can be found here, and all donations are tax-deductible as permitted by law:
