Soul Sustenance - Be Limitless Be Love

Educational experts have known for years that young people learn better from active engagement with a topic than by being lectured. The same applies not just to academics, but to problems commonly encountered by teens and young adults – bullying, family and social pressures, body image, drug and alcohol abuse and more. Mental health advocate and former social worker Michael Toledo says that parents are naturally eager to share their wisdom with teens who may be struggling with such issues, but “talking at” or “telling” may be far less effective than “showing.” That’s why he wrote the new book Be Limitless, Be Love.  It’s a fiction/self-help hybrid that offers solutions through a series of short stories. Please read on abut this book and let me know if you are interested in learning more!

The stories feature relatable characters experiencing life issues that teens will find familiar and relevant, and each story arc shows how these characters find peace, confidence and resolutions to their struggles.  The stories are written to engage and entertain but are also thought-provoking and inspiring. And of course, they can also act as a natural conversation-starter between parents and kids.
