The Getty Center will be open to visitors later with new extended hours beginning June 17, 2025. The hours will be ongoing and allow more time for visitors to enjoy the site, see exhibitions, and attend events.
The Center will be open from 10 am to 6:30 pm Tuesday through Friday and Sunday. On Saturdays, the site will be open into the evening from 10 am to 9 pm and will have free parking after 6 pm. Additionally, the Center will be expanding its bar service, offering an evening cocktail program in a relaxed outdoor setting near the arrival plaza. Admission to the Center is free and requires a timed-entry reservation for general admission and all events.
What to see this summer
Off the 405, the Center's annual free outdoor summer concert series, features musicians on the courtyard stage and creates a vibrant musical experience amid stunning architecture and breathtaking sunset views. The concerts will return on select Saturdays in the summer months with artists including SML on May 31, Mabe Fratti on June 14, Madi Diaz on July 12, Empress Of on July 26, and Emile Mosseri on August 23. Ticket reservations from Getty’s website are required, with release dates available online.
During weekends in August, families can attend Garden Concerts for Kids to dance and sing along to musical performances on the Center’s grass lawn. This summer’s musicians include 123 Andrés on August 2 and 3, Kymberly Stewart on August 9 and 10, and Divinity Roxx Presents: Divi Roxx Kids World Wide Playdate on Aug 16 and 17. Free ticket reservations will be available closer to the event dates.
Additional public programs and exhibitions celebrate Pride Month in June, including $3 Bill: Evidence of Queer Lives opening from June 10 and Queer Lens: A History of Photography on June 17. Getty’s online calendar includes free film screenings and art talks inspired by these exhibitions. Opening June 3, the Pride Pop-up Shop in the Getty Center’s Entrance Hall celebrates Pride, visibility, and self-expression through bold, rainbow-inspired merchandise. Coinciding with the exhibitions, the shop features exclusive products showcasing the new Getty Pride logo. This merchandise will be available in Getty’s online Museum Store on June 2.
Also opening at the Center during summer are Symbols and Signs: Decoding Medieval Manuscripts on May 20, Artemisia's Strong Women: Rescuing a Masterpiece on June 10, and Lines of Connection: Drawing and Printmaking on July 1.
