Book Nook - The Great Gatsby: A BabyLit® Party Primer!

With over 2.5 million copies sold, BabyLit® Primers introduce important concepts and classic literature to babies and toddler in a fun...and fashionable... way. I recently had a chance to review the lastest book, The Great Gatsby: A BabyLit® Party Primer!

The Great Gatsby: A BabyLit® Party Primer exposes little ones to the roaring twenties and this American classic by focusing on elements of a perfect party—an invitation, the venue, attire, transportation, decorations, refreshments, music, dancing, and even the cleanup.

Author Jennifer Adams and illustrator Alison Oliver work diligently to find both an essence of each classic title and a unique childhood concept to pair with it. Together they create beautiful and fun board books that kids and parents adore. I love the concept of introducing kids to themes of classic literature - it can be a way for young kids to hear classic titles and whet their interest for future stories, and it can also be a way for adult readers to share their love of these stories with kids.

The design and illustrations of the book are clearly well-researched - and the idea of a party is going to make sense to any kid! It's a fun dive into the world of The Great Gatsby.
