Although my kids are much older than the target age for this book, I was still excited to review What Mummy Makes: Easy Weaning. I have young nieces, and I also like cookbooks in general!
A good chunk of this cookbook was definitely targeted more towards the youngest eaters. And it obviously makes sense. It has a section on feeding tips and nutrition, and a recipe section devoted to purees and easy-to-chew foods like oatmeals. While I don't really cook purees much anymore, some of the other ideas in that section would still make good breakfasts!
The rest of the book is great for people with kids of any age. One of my favorite recipes was a lentil spaghetti sauce - it's a way to get some extra protein into the meal, and also to encourage new tastes and textures, even with older kids! Most of the recipes will please even the pickiest eater, and a lot of them are ways to boost the nutritional profile of snacks and quick meals.
One quick note for US readers - amounts are given in weights, rather than in cups, but most of them are easy to convert and adapt!
