“Tarrifs and inflation have travelers feeling a bit antsy, and many are turning to long-overlooked credit card benefits to help keep costs down. For example, 43% of people say that tariffs will make them explore credit card travel benefits more, according to a new WalletHub survey. Some of the most popular perks that people plan to leverage include insurance for accidents that occur in transit, insurance for delayed or cancelled trips, and rental car insurance coverage. Combined with rewards and initial bonuses, the best credit cards with these valuable travel perks could easily save the average person more than $1,000 per year, according to our calculations. If you’re itching for a vacation but butting up against a tight budget, that type of savings opportunity probably sounds pretty darn good right about now.”
