Music Minute - Jay Webb: One More Shot

Alabama native Jay Webb leans into pain and hard truths on his latest release “One More Shot,” out today. Delivering one of his most vulnerable and gripping tracks yet, the stark, soul-cutting ballad captures the emotional toll of trying to numb life's low points through the bottom of a bottle.

"'One More Shot' is about the struggle of using alcohol to cope with my problems and eventually not being able to live without it,” shares Webb. “I'm not so much in that spot anymore, but when I was thinking back to that time to write this song, it made me realize how many people I know who are going through that same thing."

Co-written by Webb and Eddie Eberle, “One More Shot” serves as a vulnerable gut-check on the fight to stay afloat – anchored in the emotional weight of addiction, isolation and the desperate search for relief. The single serves as the latest example of the unfiltered storytelling that helped Webb build a loyal fanbase of 2M+ across platforms. The single follows a string of 2025 releases – including fan favorites like “Summer In America” and “Love Me Tonight,” which earned a spot on SiriusXM's The Highway – that have established Webb as a fresh voice with something real to say.

Webb hit the road on his The Low Life Tour this spring, which hit 12 cities nationwide. With over 415M streams to date and more music on the way, the country newcomer continues to prove that his hard-hitting sound has real staying power. Keep up with Webb and stay tuned for more exciting announcements at jaywebbmusic.com and on InstagramTikTok and YouTube.

ABOUT JAY WEBB:
Country artist Jay Webb writes songs that hit like a gut punch. He grew up bouncing between the backroads of North Alabama and the city in South Alabama, using music to make sense of the chaos around him. What started as a way to process a turbulent childhood quickly became his purpose –- gritty storytelling layered over genre-blurring beats, delivered with zero filter. He began recording demos in high school and never let up, releasing track after track on his own and building a following from the ground up. His lyrics cut deep, his voice carries the scars and his sound refuses to stay in one lane. Webb doesn't try to clean up the mess – he leans into it, and has a good time doing it.

The genre-blurring artist pulls from a wide range of influences, pairing the weight of Johnny Cash and Hank Williams with the edge of Juice WRLD and Post Malone. It's not traditional country, and he doesn't want it to be. He calls it “music for real people with real problems” and his fans know exactly what that means. In 2022, a viral TikTok launched his music to a wider audience. Since then, he's released standout tracks like “Down Here,” “Bury Me With Bourbon” and “Broken,” racking up more than 415M streams and a growing legion of fans over 2M strong. After wrapping his first headline tour and sharing the stage with artists like Chase Matthew and Kolby Cooper, Webb is charging forward — not as a trend-chaser, but as a truth-teller. And the numbers prove people are listening.
