I recently had a chance to see a StoryTime ToolKit from Pitch a Fete. We got the Zeke the Dragon, which comes with a story encouraging courage and confidence.
I love the idea of these kits. Kids get to stuff their own plush and add a heart inside, which helps make the plush personal. For younger kids especially, this can help the story resonate even more. The plush is also made from recycled fabric, which is neat. It's a beautiful plush, as well, and incredibly soft. The story that came with the plush is a cute story that encourages kids to reflect and develop their own skills and characteristics. It also comes with some optional printable sheets for families (or teachers) to extend the lessons learned in the book. These kits would be an excellent addition to a family's bookshelf - they would also be appropriate in classrooms to work on early SEL topics.
Topics currently available include courage/confidence, emotional honesty, body positivity/self-acceptance, and kindness/self-worth.
Coming soon - StoryTents, designed to be immersive sensory experiences to encourage imaginative play!
