As AI innovations in healthcare become more widely accepted, a new study from Harmony Healthcare IT reveals where patients draw the line between trusting technology and human doctors.
- 77% prefer AI over doctors to detect patterns in medical data
- Over half (53%) prefer AI for sensitive or embarrassing information
- 75% trust AI for preventative care
However, patients still prefer doctors for making fast decisions in medical emergencies (81%), analyzing symptoms and diagnosing (79%), and creating personalized treatment plans (75%). Additionally, 60% are concerned about AI replacing personal touch.
