Movie Minute - Hitmakers

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and producer Ben Johnson is set to star in the new Netflix docuseries Hitmakers. Comprised of six episodes, the series follows 12 of the industry's best songwriters and producers as they come together at real high-stakes writing camps to create hits for today's biggest stars like John Legend, Shaboozey and Lisa of Blackpink. With tensions high and time short, viewers get a front-row seat to the creative chaos, emotional stakes and personal breakthroughs. This isn't just about writing music…it's the journey of a hitmaker.

No stranger to success, Johnson has penned 11 No. 1 songs like HARDY's "Truck Bed," Dierks Bentley's "Gone," Parmalee's "Take My Name" and Lee Brice's "One Of Them Girls." His other credits include Weezer's "All My Favorite Songs," Charlie Puth's "Patient" and most recently BigXthaPlug and Bailey Zimmerman's "All The Way," which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Last fall, Johnson extended his publishing deal with Tape Room Music and Artist Publishing Group, in addition to joining Ryan Tedder's Runner Music.
