Music Minute - Alyssa Flaherty: Heartbreak, Thank You

 

Country newcomer Alyssa Flaherty introduces her debut EP, Heartbreak, Thank You, available everywhere now. The five-song project, all co-written by Flaherty, tells the personal story of her healing journey, where heartbreak is embraced as a catalyst for personal transformation. Flaherty encourages listeners to flip the script on heartbreak and express their gratitude for the experience.   “These songs naturally captured my progression through heartbreak,” shares Flaherty. “A story that just told itself. I'm so excited to share this collection of songs and hope that people find a piece of themselves within them.”   LISTEN: HEARTBREAK, THANK YOU   All tracks on the project follow a step in her healing process – from betrayal and shock in “Broken By You” and “Know You By Heart,” self-reflection in “Better Memory,” and healing and independence in “Lucky You” and title track “Heartbreak, Thank You.” The EP encapsulates her self-growth journey of acceptance, all with the perspective of gratefulness for who she has become.   Her debut is accompanied by the news of her signing to Neon Coast Management, announced earlier this week. The artist development company has added the emerging artist to their management roster.

Flaherty's musical career started in her hometown of Annapolis, Maryland before moving to Nashville in 2020 to follow her dreams full time. Her big break came when Oscar-winning actor Kevin Costner tapped her to record a rendition of “Amazing Grace” for his movie Horizon: An American Saga. The milestone moment paved the way for her debut single “Under The Influence” in June 2024.   With a bright future ahead, Flaherty's year is stacking up with more new music on the way and robust tour runs. After joining Kendell Marvel, Jo Dee Messina, Jake Owen, LeAnn Rimes and Brad Tursi of Old Dominion for select dates this year, Flaherty will head overseas for her first international shows this fall. Her innate passion for performing grew stronger with every passing day, compelling her to share her God-given voice with the world.
