Music Minute - Laurie Berkner: Hello River

Beloved kids’ musician Laurie Berkner evokes a sense of gratitude for nature's wonders in her new music video, "Hello River." The "Hello River" music video is out now!

The lovely "Hello River" song was just released as a singleLaurie Berkner's soothing soliloquoy is guaranteed to bring peace and calm to young children, and, indeed, to listeners of all ages as they "take a breath" and "feel the air" beside the river.

Watch the "Hello River" video HERE.

“I started writing this song one day as I biked home along the Hudson River," says Laurie Berkner. "I felt supremely happy to be looking out at the waves and impulsively sang out, 'Hello, River!' I've been saying hello to the Hudson for more than 25 years, feeling grateful for all it does, the life it supports, and the joy I get from just seeing the water. I'm so glad I finally felt moved to channel those feelings into a song and video. I've added imagery and hand motions for younger listeners to connect to and words that I hope might inspire them later in life to be part of ensuring the rivers are here - and clean - for many more years to come.
