The global collective consists of a running 225 musicians from 180 bands over a span of 18 years, including members of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Korn, Suicidal Tendencies, Earth, Wind & Fire and more began as a vision to capture the magic of jam sessions and spontaneous collaboration has evolved into an ever-expanding musical universe.

The supergroup’s forthcoming single “When the Juice Ran Out (feat. Angelo Moore)” is set to be released this Friday, August 8. Featuring Angelo Moore (Fishbone), Jack Irons (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Rodney “Skeet” Curtis (Maceo Parker), and Tim Stewart (Lady Gaga), the track reflects on the possibility of the internet shutting down and explores how deeply we’ve traded real world presence for the digital illusion. It’s an explosive wake up call for what happens when the power dies, the batteries drain, and we’re forced to face ourselves in an unplugged, analog world. Listen early here.
The single will drop along with the news of their third studio album Volume 3, set to release September 19 of this year. This album will be Getdown’s most ambitious release to date, capturing the energy of true collaboration and proving their vision continues to grow and evolve.
