Amazing Arts - Treasure Island at the Children's Theatre Company (MN)

Last weekend, my family and I had the opportunity to see CTC's production of Treasure Island. We were not disappointed at all.

Company actor Reed Sigmund is amazing. We've seen him do a wide variety of shows, from serious to funny, and this show was no exception to the rule of great acting. The seamlessness of other actors playing multiple pirate roles was amazing - when the cast came out for final bows, I was honestly amazing that there weren't a few more of them! The set was great, and without giving it away, the special effects were really well done also.

My husband was joking that now that our kids were nearly grown, we might have to stop going - but the CTC does an amazing job of putting on shows that are interesting for the entire family. Some of them are obviously geared more towards younger audiences, but this show, like many others, has broad appeal for a huge age range. We've also always been more than satisfied with our interactions with theater staff, whether that's ushers or box office workers - we're genuinely thrilled that this theater exists in our community, and that ticket prices still mean we can see shows at an affordable price.

If you are interested in seeing the show, I highly recommend it. The show runs through October 19th and offers several sensory-friendly dates as well.
