The study, conducted by Westgate Las Vegas, analyzed the cost of entry for one adult at the city’s most underrated museums. To identify which museums are underrated, the data examined Tripadvisor reviews for the top-rated 150 attractions and included those with the highest number of reviews containing keywords that suggest an attraction is underrated, such as ‘hidden gem’ and ‘unique’.
The Pinball Hall of Fame is the most cost-effective museum in Las Vegas. The attraction offers children and adults free entry all year round, but it’s important to note that this does not include the price to play on these pinball machines, which can cost anywhere between 50 cents and $1. The museum also has a 70% increase in underrated-related keywords when compared to the average.
In second place, with a remarkable 244% increase in underrated-related keywords, is the Las Vegas Natural History Museum. With a modest $12 entrance fee, the attraction offers visitors a cost-effective educational experience away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip.
The Burlesque Hall of Fame follows in third place. Tourists can visit the world's only museum dedicated to the history and preservation of burlesque for only $18. With a 166% increase in underrated-related keywords, the museum is a great attraction for visitors wanting to stay off the Strip.
Nostalgia Street Rods, a museum which offers a memorable tour of automobiles from 1910 to 1965, sits in fourth place for only $20 per adult. The attraction also has a 100% increase in underrated-related keywords in reviews compared to the average, making it a must-see for visitors in 2025.
The Liberace Museum Collection follows in fifth place. With everything from costumes, jewelry, and cars on show, adults can visit this museum for only $24.95. It's also easy to dodge the crowds here, as Tripadvisor reviews suggest the museum is a hidden gem with a 237% increase in 'underrated' comments.
In sixth place, the Museum of Illusions Las Vegas is a unique and exciting activity located off the Strip. While admission fees can vary depending on the date and time, adults can visit the attraction for approximately $25 to $30. It also has a 137% rise in 'underrated' reviews on Tripadvisor.
The seventh most cost-effective museum is the Real Bodies at Horseshoe Las Vegas, with admission costing $29.95 for adults. The Princess Diana & The Royals: The Exhibition and the Neon Museum follow in eighth and ninth place, with entrance fees costing $32.95 and $35 for adults, respectively. In tenth place is the Punk Rock Museum, with the price of an adult admission ticket being $39.
