Book Nook - Just Keep Going

 What does it really mean to be brave?

 

That’s the question at the heart of a soon-to-be-published book I had a chance to review. Just Keep Going (on sale 9.30.25) is a powerful and timely debut picture book from former news anchor and producer/online correspondent (CNN, NBC News, TODAY, HLN) Lynn Smith.

 

So many kids thing bravery is about not being afraid - but this book gives a different, healthier definition. Bravery isn't the lack of fear, it's about having coping mechanisms and tools to continue going even with the fear. The book does a great job of modeling those tools and still creating a cute story about Mouse. The tools are real, and things that are accessible for kids (and adults) of all ages.
