For parents, one of the scariest milestones is handing your teenager the car keys. While most families focus on teaching safe habits — seatbelts, speed limits, no phones — some dangers are out of their control.
A new study from Lemon Law Experts analyzed 10 years of NHTSA crash data to uncover the 25 most dangerous highway ramps in America. These on- and off-ramps are notorious for fatal crashes, thanks to sharp curves, unpredictable merges, and heavy traffic flow.
Key findings:
- Stockton, CA, is home to the most dangerous highway ramps among large cities in America with the I-5 and CA-4 area claiming the title of worst area.
- Macon-Bibb County, GA, and Redding, CA, are the top U.S. cities with the most dangerous highway ramps in America.
- California is home to 5 of the 25 most dangerous highway ramps in America.
- Ohio is home to 4 of the 25 most dangerous highway ramps in America.
I had a chance to see the full data as well, which is easy to search by state to find where your state lands.
