About the Author:
Steve Boyce has always dreamt of being a cartoonist. At the age of 15, he was inspired by advice he had received from Carl Giles, the famous cartoonist. His first of many cartoons was published in The Daily Echo.
He has created several characters, including Cornelius Cone, the main character in his first of three children’s books, Cornelius Cone and Friends, which was published by Amazon in 2019.
Needing a new set of eyes, Steve reached out to Tricorn Books, which had been an enormous help in formatting his latest children’s book.
Living in a small village on the edge of Southampton Water and the New Forest has been a perfect place for Steve to write and illustrate children’s books. His appreciation for the countryside and the history inspired him to promote awareness of safety and the environmental issues we face today.
“I am so glad I never grew up; otherwise, I would have trouble writing and illustrating my children’s books. A good sense of humour and imagination help, but the best part is knowing when my books will bring a smile that lasts a lifetime.”
He hopes to see his work on every bookshelf all over the world, loved by children of all ages, and perhaps turned into a cartoon animation series.
In addition to writing and illustrating children’s books, his interests include metal detecting, photography, computers, electronics, and local history.
