Amazing Apps - Project Aqua

Adobe has launched first creativity app  - Project Aqua – which is designed for kids ages 5-12 and parents to learn the basics of 3D and AR together. The premise is it turns any iPad or iPhone into a mess-free 3D studio where kids can sketch, build, explore and bring their creations to life.

Project Aqua is an educational and drawing app for kids ages 5-12 and their parents that inspires imagination and builds confidence through art. The app is designed by parents for parents, bridging the gap between physical and digital art, allowing kids to scan their paper drawings, add digital paint, and showcase their work in virtual museums. Project Aqua is available for free on iPad and iPhone and does not include ads or in-app purchases, giving families peace of mind while kids play and learn.

According to Child Development Specialist Dr. Siggie Cohen, “When your child freely creates, they learn to believe in themselves. Every drawing, story, and idea becomes a small step toward confidence and self-expression. When creativity is part of everyday life, it shapes how kids see themselves and what they believe they can do.”

Real parents like Chrissy Allen (@csapunch), Melissa Dewgard Dominguez (@nycmamaplus2), and Robert and Samantha (@chasing.sage) are already enjoying Project Aqua - and it could be a great fit for you as well.

Benefits of the app:

  • Family Co-Creation That Supports Learning: Kids and parents can co-create stories, illustrations, and characters, instantly transforming 2D drawings into interactive 3D objects through AR. It turns screen time into shared mess-free, meaningful creations.
  • Hands-On STEAM Learning Anywhere: Perfect for travel days, kids can enjoy interactive, hands-on creative exploration with no ads or in-app purchases for a worry-free journey, and complete offline access without WiFi required, ideal for long flights, car rides and holiday downtime.
  • Creative Templates For Every Passion: Whether it’s the fashion-obsessed kids who have an interest in designing clothes, to comic book fans looking to turn superheroes into characters in their own graphic novel, kids can experiment with guided templates that spark imagination and teach creative skills.
  • A Virtual Museum for Every Masterpiece: A personal, private digital gallery helps parents celebrate kids’ artwork - big or small - fostering pride while keeping everything organized. Not to mention parents can choose if and who the museum is shared with for added privacy.
