Synopsis:
The lives of two young brothers who have little in common are changed forever when they visit their aunt and uncle on a remote Yorkshire farm. Their quest is to find a precious Hallowed Key and keep the world safe. With the help of an enchanted Lamb, mighty Dragon, fearless Wolf, and aristocratic Ram, they courageously battle the dark forces of the evil Mawkrons and, in so doing, forge an unbreakable bond.
The author says:
“Writing this book has been a wonderful adventure in itself. Through workshops hosted by a local children’s author, I learned how to shape a story, develop characters, and weave in suspense—and of course, plenty of humour, which I think is so important for children’s books. It took me a year of writing and editing before I felt it was ready. I wanted to create something traditional in style but with its own magical twist. Sharing it in primary schools, watching children listen intently as I read, and hearing one child say she’d buy it ‘one zillion percent’ has been the most fulfilling reward."
Independently published, Quest for the Hallowed Key is available to purchase in paperback on Amazon at https://tinyurl.com/bdhbftjy
