As the parent of two teens, I know how quickly time passes - and I also know the value of starting conversations about a wide variety of topics at an early age. I recently had a chance to review conversation starter cards from Parents Are Hu

man. 

The Children Are Human (Ages 7-10+) card deck helps parents hear what their kids are really thinking and feeling. The deck is co-created with child psychologists, teachers, and families, and includes 140 thoughtful prompts - lighthearted questions and playful activities on one side, deeper ones on the other.

The playful activities are a great thing to incorporate at bed time - what kid doesn't want to add a few extra minutes before lights out, and it's a great way to have a positive interaction at the end of the day. The questions are perfect for road trips, commutes, dinner table, and any other chance that you want to open up a conversation that doesn't just start with "How was your day?"

I absolutely love that they have a Grief option - that's a huge thing that is very important to open dialogue about. Also, a sa bilingual family, I love that the decks are available in multiple languages - including German, Korean, Chinese, and more!
