Elena Czarnowski, founder of Kid Laboratories and known as America’s STEM Teacher, is challenging how we think about modern STEM education. Through her new STEM² movement (STEM + Money Education), she’s helping parents and teachers prepare kids for the real world—where understanding technology and financial literacy go hand in hand.
With 15+ years in tech and education, Elena has taught thousands of students how to make complex topics like AI, coding, and money management simple and fun. She also hosted a free “Future-Proof Kids” webinar on October 20 and will release her book Future-Proof Kids: Raising Confident, Capable Children in the Digital Age in December 2025.
I had a chance to interview her, and she created a series of reels to answer:
Why is it so important for families to support STEM at home?
Why should financial literacy be part of STEM education?
What are some ways that families can explore STEM at home?
How can families prepare kids for the skills they'll need in a tech-driven world?
