As Medicare Open Enrollment continues into November, Minnesotans are still navigating the open enrollment period with uncertainty and confusion as they hope to find a Medicare plan that fits their needs. AAA encourages Minnesotans to talk to a local agent who understands the market, can help explain your options, and will find the plan that works best for you.
“We know the changes in our Medicare landscape this year can feel daunting,” said Abel Ebane, Health Insurance expert at AAA. “We’ve heard many questions and concerns from Minnesotans this enrollment period, and we’re here to break down some of the common Medicare questions we’ve been asked.”
Common Medicare Questions this enrollment period
Will Medicare go away in the future?
Nobody knows what the future holds – and it’s hard to imagine retirement without Medicare. While the future of Medicare’s architecture can’t be predicted, there are questions an agent can help you ask right now to help make the best decision to fit your needs for the near future.
Is it best to go with a Supplement, Cost, or Advantage plan?
It depends. Medicare plans have unique advantages and disadvantages, based on many factors including health needs, budget, lifestyle, and more. It’s important to connect with an agent who can help share the benefits of each plan and learn more about your health priorities – so you can make the best decision about coverage.
What should I do if my prescription Drug plan is not offered in 2026?
There is a limited number of prescription drug plans available to Minnesotans in 2026. Our agents can help create a drug cost estimate to see what option will make the most sense for 2026 based on your current prescriptions and needs.
Do I have to be a AAA member to get support from an agent?
No! Our agents provide unbiased guidance and advice, and because AAA is carrier agnostic, we always put our members’ needs first. We are happy to answer your questions and support you this Annual Enrollment Period to help you find a plan that works best.
