 Whether it’s due to climbing home insurance premiums or skyrocketing repair prices, a new report from BPG Inspections finds that over 7 in 10 Americans worry about home emergencies

  • 64% list fires as their most-feared household disaster
  • The 3 most common emergencies in the U.S. include power outages, HVAC failures, and fires
  • The states with the highest rate of home emergencies are Indiana, Delaware, and Arizona

The anxiety and inconvenience of disaster striking is only half the battle–the repairs can be expensive and time-consuming. 70% stress about home repair costs, and 67% skip cosmetic repairs to save money. Americans report spending an average of 2.5 hours researching a repair company.
