Money Matters - Free AARP/BBB Scam Jam Event (12/2 Duluth)

AARP and Better Business Bureau serving Minnesota & North Dakota are helping protect community members from financial fraud by hosting a free education event, called Scam Jam, for the Duluth area. Older Americans are a favorite target of scam and fraud artists. Among the millions of Americans who lost money to scammers in 2024, older adults lost the most, according to newly released numbers from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). And the losses are astronomical: Minnesotans reported losses totaling $144.6 million in 2024. Scam Jam offers an opportunity to take charge and learn criminal tactics to protect hard-earned savings. Join AARP Minnesota, BBB, and many other local organizations at the Duluth Scam Jam to learn about the latest scams.
