Which states offer the best camping spots for a night under the stars? Ahead of National Camp Day on Nov. 19, Lawn Love ranked 2025's Best States for Camping. To come up with our ranking, we compared all 50 states based on 5 categories. More specifically, we looked at the acreage of state and national parks, access to campsites and RV parks, and average Hipcamp rates, among 21 total metrics.
